Trade Sale of eTel Slovensko s.r.o. to Dial Telecom a.s.
Dial Telecom a.s. has announced the 100% acquisition of Telekom Austria Czech Republic, a.s. and eTel Slovakia s.r.o. both subsidiaries of Telekom Austria Group (www.telekomaustria.com), the Austrian incumbent telecommunications operator for an undisclosed amount.
Telekom Austria Czech Republic is a leading alternative operator with a customer base of 80,000 in voice and Internet services in the Czech Republic. eTel Slovakia is one of the leading alternative operators with approximately 2,000 business customers in Slovakia.
Telekom Austria Group decided to refocus its international expansion on the mobile market segment and to dispose of these alternative fixed line operators in summer 2008. Subsequently, CFP Vienna was appointed to start an organised international sales process to which selective local and regional strategic and financial investors were invited.
Dial Telecom is an alternative telecommunications operator with activities in Slovakia and Czech Republic. The company focuses on business and wholesale customers and owns substantial network infrastructure in both countries.
